These Aesop Gift Kits for 2017-18 are associated with social experiments

The season of gifting is upon us. While it’s always a blessing and joy to be the one gifting than receiving; let’s be honest, it’s not an easy task to choose the ‘perfect’ gift for your loved one. Here’s a thought: Have you considered choosing one based on social experiment?

Aesop’s 2016 Gift Kits were themed ‘Pursuits of Passion‘ — a much different approach compared to this year’s concept. For 2017-18, the brand pays homage to ground-breaking studies on the human behavior and released a six-gift kit collection, titled ‘The Enigmatic Mind’ — each celebrates an influential social psychology experiment.

The Asch experiment, bystander effect, and the propinquity effect, are just some of social experiments used as references when it comes to creating these kits. These experiments are known in the 1950s, 60s and 70s and were conducted to shed light on how humans interact with each other, whether collaborating, helping others, establishing connections or confirming to social norms.

Packaged together in a practical, usable amenity case are Aesop’s curated skin and body care products to suit a range of recipients. A brand known to use the finest plant-based and laboratory-made ingredients in its range, these products are agreeable to the skin, which the receiver will thoroughly enjoy. Each kit is wrapped in sleeves inspired by social psychology books of the era; the design subtly referencing the experiment behind it.

The Aesop Gift Kits for 2017-18 is now available at all Aesop signature stores, select stockists and counters in department stores across the globe, and at aesop.com.
