Judging by the number of new makeup releases — we won’t be surprised to see them all stacked up at the corner of your room. Whenever there’s a new foundation or lipstick, or even a new brand that you’ve been itching to try, the urge to purchase them is strong and there’s nothing wrong about that. However, if there’s a huge stack of makeup lying that is untouched or barely used, then there’s a problem.
There goes your money and it also contributes to product wastage. If you’re lucky, some of the items you’ve left behind collecting dust may still be salvageable. Checking the expiry date is the first thing you should do, or if the product is left unopened, there’s a little ‘opened jar’ symbol that states the number of months the product is designed to last.
