The new Coach Eau de Parfum embodies the spontaneity and ubiquitous panache of one of the world’s greatest metropolitans — New York City. Touted as spirited and sparkling , yet sensual and feminine, the fragrance is all about contrasts. Created by star perfumers Anna Filipo and Juliette Karagueuzoglou, Coach Eau de Parfum opens up with accents of raspberry, pear and a vibrant pink pepper. The heart of the scent holds robust floral notes of Turkish rose, gardenia and cyclamen. Filipo and Karagueuzoglou chose suede musk, cashmeran and sandalwood to base the fragrance for a luxurious finish.
In homage to Coach, the Coach Eau de Parfum comes in an oval bottle with various details that ties back to the identity of the brand. The bottle’s spray cap is fashioned into a gold turnlock in reflection of Coach’s signature bag clasp. An ebony leather and polished metal hangtag circles the neck of the bottle for a premium look and feel. Coach’s iconic horse and carriage logo is engraved into the glass of the bottle, showing off the house’s refined craftsmanship. To further enhance the feminine feel of the packaging, the flacon is housed in a soft pink box also embossed with the brand’s horse and carriage logo.
Hollywood starlet, Chloe Grace Moretz, is the face of the Coach Eau de Parfum campaign. Having worked with the brand for the last two years, Coach executive creative director Stuart Vevers knew that Moretz would be a natural choice to front the campaign, because of her all-American image. The campaign’s visuals show Moretz on a road trip to New York City in a vintage Cadillac. Steven Meisel who shot the campaign captured her natural beauty, spirit and zest for life perfectly.
The new Coach Eau de Parfum will be available at all stores from 1 October 2016 onwards. The 30ml bottle retails at RM189, while the 50ml and 90ml bottles are priced at RM299 and RM399 respectively.
