From Fenty Skin’s Flash Nap eye cream to Diptyque’s new perfume, these new beauty products in March 2021 are to kill for.
The beauty world isn’t slowing down. In fact, it’s going faster than ever. The proof lies in this month’s collection of new beauty releases, spanning over 12 brands and many new products to check out.
Need a new fragrance? We have three for you to choose from. Want something completely niche like a neck serum? Dermalogica has you sorted out. What about clean beauty products? We’ve got you covered too. Read on for more things to spend your money on this March 2021.
Real talk — have you been neglecting your neck area when doing your skincare routine? Just like your hands, the skin around your neck is one of the first places to show signs of ageing, simply because of how thin the skin around those areas is. Dermalogica wants to help you out with its latest product: the Neck Fit Contour Serum. It’s a roll-on serum that tightens and tones skin with the help of a Flex Lift Contour Technology and a plant-based formulation made up of Rye Seed Extract and a novel Palmitoyl Tripeptide-42 with Rambutan Extract to deliver retinol-like results on the skin. All you need to do is “turn” the applicator on, squeeze the tube lightly to dispense some product, and roll it in an upwards motion from your decolletage to your chin area.
Fenty Skin adds more products to its nearly-complete range of modern unisex skincare — an eye cream. But in true Fenty fashion, it’s no ordinary eye cream. The Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream is, in Rihanna’s words, the “perfect starter eye cream – with easy-to-use packaging, a formula that would tackle puffiness and dark circles, and work really well with makeup to look fresh all day”.
It’s a two-in-one product that works as both an eye cream and a concealer-primer to brighten, soothe, and reduce visible puffiness. Basically, like you took a really good power nap. The gel-cream formula is not greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. It’s formulated with horse chestnut, hyaluronic acid, Persian silk tree and green tea, the product. Be sure to get it with the cooling mini eye massage tool for extra de-puffing measures.
Spring beckons, and that means floral fragrances are about to come back in vogue. Jo Malone London is springing into action with its Blossoms collection, a quartet of floral-based scents. Within the Blossoms collection are two brand new fragrances, two makes a comeback, while another favourite is reinterpreted as a body mist.
The two new fragrances are Yellow Hibiscus, a juicy light floral scent; and Red Hibiscus, a vivid and sunny scent. Coming back into Jo Malone London is the Frangipani Flower and Nashi Blossom. The Nectarine Blossom & Honey is reinterpreted as a limited-edition Body Mist formulated with glycerine and other ingredients to condition the skin while scenting it — perfect for those who may not want an alcohol-based perfume.
Is powder foundation making a comeback? We certainly think so. Jumping on the bandwagon is the new Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder, which is actually made with – wait for it – no powder. It’s actually formulated with a transparent gel base that has been infused with soft-focus pigments and mother-of-pearl micro-particles. Together, this non-powder powder compact erases any visible imperfections while mattifying the complexion and highlighting radiance. Use it as a powder foundation or as a bronzer with a wide range of shades.
This month, Aesop will be releasing not one, but three products: two for the hair and one for the lips. The Aesop Tame Hair Serum is one of the new hair care products, doing just as its name suggests. It has a botanical-based formulation comprising Panthenol and Hydrolyzed Oats to hydrate the hair and a blend of essential oils including Petitgrain, Bergamot Rind, Patchouli and Jasmine for a fresh citrus scent. To use, dispense two to five pumps, massage into your hands, and then apply onto damp or dry hair to keep frizz and flyaways at bay.
Next, the Sculpt Hair Polish is a non-sticky styling gel that’s great if you want to achieve a wet hair look or simply hold your hairstyle in place. It’s formulated with the same hydrating ingredients as the Tame Hair Serum but with an essential oils blend of Lime, Bergamot Rind and Clove Bud.
Finally, we have the Cedar & Citrus Lime Salve, a smooth glide-on oil-gel lip salve formulated with vegan and cruelty-free ingredients that are guaranteed to soothe those chapped lips.
As we’ve mentioned before, the only way to make the most out of your eye cream is to get one with the right ingredients to address the right problems. You might want to get this new one from REN Clean Skincare if you’re looking to lighten dark eye circles and reduce puffiness. 95% of the eye cream’s ingredients are naturally-derived, including elderberry flower extract to neutralise free radicals that trigger dark eye circles and puffiness around the eye area and glycerin to retain moisture for plumper-looking skin.
Carrying on its legacy of luxuriously effective ginseng skincare is Sulwhasoo’s latest offering: the Concentrated Ginseng Rescue Ampoule. The product has a powerhouse of ingredients including the iconic Ginsenomics and a high concentrate of Ginseng Berry extract. What these ingredients will do for your skin is soothing it while eliminating factors that cause premature skin aging. Use this product after your toner and follow up with your Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum for the best results.
In conjunction with its 60th anniversary, Diptyque is releasing unisex perfume Orphéon, The fragrance is a tribute to a bar adjoined to the very first Diptyque boutique — the place where the founders’ friendship was forged. The woody chypre fragrance has top notes of juniper berries with a heart of jasmine. At the end are base notes of cedar and tonka bean. The fragrance will be launched in Malaysia on March 15th.
If you remember the good old days of Calvin Klein’s Eternity fragrances, you’re going to love its comeback. Featuring both a his and hers fragrance, the Calvin Klein Eternity Eau Fresh For Her is a floral, fresh, and fruity delight with notes of pear, bergamot, jasmine absolute, rose absolute, patchouli, musk, and amber — just to name a few. Matching this vibe is the Calvin Klein Eternity Cologne for Him, a fresh yet earthy and spicy cologne with notes of ginger, lentisk, moss, and more.
If you loved the first generation Synchro Skin Foundation from Shiseido, you’re going to love this new edition specially for ageing skin. The foundation is designed with a Light-Adjusting Technology that tackles three skin-aging problems that hinders the skin’s radiance: fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and a lack of collagen. The formulation within the foundation will adapt to any ambient lighting condition to ensure that your skin always looks illuminated and “lifted”. Coverage on the foundation is medium-to-full and buildable with SPF30 and Vitamin C. It’s also available in 20 shades.
If you’ve always been slightly insecure about uneven skin tone when wearing a backless outfit or one that shows off more decolletage and legs, here’s something from Fenty Beauty that can instil some confidence back into you. The brand’s Body Sauce is a new body luminising tint, like a body foundation but lighter and more nourishing to the skin. Available in seven shades for all skin tones, this silky and lightweight product has Babassu Oil and Vitamin E to nourish the skin and protect it from pollutants caused by UV rays. As its name suggests, it also has a slight shimmer to give skin that luminous glow.
The Fenty Beauty Body Sauce Body Luminizing Tint will be available from March 5th onwards.
