Batik: Exploring natural dyes by Kuala Lumpur Natural Dye Association

Natural dyes take centre stage at this exhibition presented by the Kuala Lumpur Natural Dye Association. Visitors can look forward to artworks by two renowned local batik creators — 2015 Piala Seri Endon champion, Kamaliah Ismail Zain, and MyCreative Ventures’ 2013 Fashion Pitch winner, Fern Chua.

The exhibition’s objective is to promote the practice of natural dyeing, which includes finding an environmentally-friendly and sustainable solution for creating batik in Malaysia. It will run from 4 to 19 March 2017, from 10am to 8pm daily, at The Gallery in The Kuala Lumpur Journal.
