Swiss Watch Gallery’s iconic annual event, Art of Time, returns for its fifth edition this year, simply called Art of Time 2016. The evening was also to celebrate Swiss Watch Gallery’s 15 years of success as a home-grown purveyor of fine watches. To commemorate the special occasion, Swiss Watch Gallery partnered an ensemble of artists from the local art scene to bring “time” to life in the form of art and movement, each interpreting “time” in their respective crafts.

The artists include fine artists Yusof Gajah, Mohd Yusof Wahid, Emila Yusof, Zaki Hadri, Zarina Abdullah and Tham Siew Moi, designer-illustrator Lisette Scheers and digital illustrator Ellie Yong, whose works have all been integrated into Art of Time’s structure and space. In fact, the exterior walls of the exhibition carry prints of Yusof Gajah’s Bulat Series.

14 renowned heritage manufactures and independents displayed some of their newest timepieces, some of which were unveiled in Malaysia for the first time. These brands include Baume & Mercier, Bell & Ross, Bremont, Frederique Constant, Graham, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-leCoultre, Jaquet Droz, Maurice Lacroix, Oris, TAG Heuer, Tissot, Tudor and Zenith.

The Art of Time 2016 will be in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s centre court until 23 October 2016, so be sure to drop by and have a closer look at the beautiful timepieces and artworks on display.
