On Wednesday, 25th April 2018, Montblanc launched the Meisterstück Le Petit Prince Special Edition collection at the Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur. The new Meisterstück Le Petit Prince Special Edition features the characters of the young prince and the fox from Antoine Saint-Exupery’s famed novella which reminds us of the power of imagination and the importance of transmitting ideas and values to the ones we love. ‘The Snug’ dining room of the hotel was converted into the mystical ‘day’ and ‘night’ universe of The Little Prince. Guests initially explored the ‘day’ section, full of activities, whilst the new Montblanc Meisterstück Le Petit Prince Special Edition was revealed under the ‘night’ sky later on in the evening.

Upon arrival, guests embarked on a journey of The Little Prince at the Gallery of Imagination where The Little Prince novel in a 2D photo wall format complemented with water colored illustrations and drawings of The Little Prince was being introduced. Here everyone also learnt about The Little Prince’s adventures and his encounter with 6 different asteroids and finally the fox he met at the earth displayed with a 3D pop-up elements. Published in more than 250 languages and dialects, Le Petite Prince is one of the most translated works in history and some of these editions were made available for guests to peruse, including those in French, German, English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Malay. Individually handcrafted paper quilled cards were handed out, featuring the characters of the Little Prince, as well as postcards and envelopes. Guests were encouraged to send out messages to loved ones in the spirit of giving and sharing of ideas.

As the ‘day’ turned to ‘night’, guests were ushered into a dark room where the master of ceremonies, dressed as the aviator from the book, narrated to those gathered through an animated video, showcasing the inspiration of the Montblanc Meisterstück Le Petit Prince Special Edition. Montblanc International CEO Nicolas Baretzki and Friend of Montblanc, Lawrence Wong penned their autographs with the Montblanc Meisterstück Le Petit Prince LeGrand Special Edition fountain pen on the fine stationery, a symbol of transmitting the value of bonding to officiate the launch. It was then that all the Montblanc Meisterstück Le Petit Prince Special Edition, consisting of writing instruments, fine stationery and men’s jewelries were then finally revealed to all who had attended.
