This week’s best stories: Jaquet-Droz in Malaysia, best of Paris Fashion Week, and more

It’s been a big week for both the fashion and political front. The Spring/Summer 2019 fashion week finally came to a close at Paris Fashion Week, wrapping up a long month of new designer debuts and controversy. On the political front in the US, the dispute with Brett Kavanaugh came to a climax with a large rally opposing him. Several notable people involved in the rally were arrested, including Emily Ratajkowski and Amy Schumer.

In our local political drama, things are just as juicy with a certain former first lady being detained on multiple counts of money laundering and witness tampering. If you’re still hungry for more things to check out, then allow us to present our weekly edition of the best stories. From a once-dying Swiss watchmaker to new life breathed into wooden casks, here are this week’s best stories.

This month’s dining scene is an exciting one. We have not one but two Michelin-starred chefs making their Malaysian dining debut — Chef Emmanuel Stroobant and Chef Kiichi Okabe. Check out our fresh list of new restaurants to check out this month right here.

We recently returned from a trip to Napa Valley, where we got the chance to drive the Lexus LC 500h. True to its class as a grand tourer, the long drive was made all the better with the V6 engine and two electric motors. Read the full review here on our experience with the LC 500h.
