3 cocktails to make with The Macallan Trilogy

Although there are some who still believe that good single malts should never be mixed, whisky cocktails are fast becoming popular go-to’s. While we love ourselves a good dram of Macallan neat or on the rocks, we’ve also tasted some pretty amazing whisky cocktails that bring out the notes and aromas of the spirit beautifully.

Let’s say you’re hosting an afternoon soirée and want something cool and refreshing, you’ll want to try The Macallan Copa cocktail. For a gorgeous flavour to the last drop, even in a cocktail, try the Sherry Julep made with The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old. Last but not least, if you like your whisky pretty simple, but with an extra smokiness, stir up a Smoked Oak Old-Fashioned made with The Macallan 12 Years Old.

The upcoming Chinese New Year is a good place to start, but before you start mixing though, check out our post on The Macallan Trilogy where we explain a little bit more about The Macallan 12 Years Old, The Macallan Fine Oak 12 Years Old and The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old. The variety of flavours and notes are flavourful enough on their own, but if you want to mix things up a little, we have three cocktail recipes for you to try.
