It is great to have a café or coffee joint in your neighbourhood. Just a stone’s throw away, you can simply walk to the nearest eatery for a quick fix. Better still; the owners and regulars know you by name. Picture your mornings, infused with positive energy and a great camaraderie of good company as well as good food.
And talking about comfort food, everyday is #cheatday. From a thick, creamy café latte to tender, pink-in-the-centre beef steak, it is very hard to resist the allure of honest food. This month, we are also treated with so many Ramadhan bazaars and buffets; with a plethora of savoury dishes and sweets to choose from. Some smaller cafes are also offering great Iftar meals as well.
For those who have yet to visit a Ramadhan bazaar, it is time to head to the one in TTDI for the best array of food items – whichever tickles your fancy. And if you prefer someplace new for a change, we hunt down some new and hidden hotspots in different neighbourhoods around the city for you to try in June.
Khatulistiwah is one of latest additions to the Melawati neighbourhood. Aside from its deliciously smooth caffeine-packed daily fix, customers can also enjoy a plethora of local kuih, mille crepe cake as well as the salted egg croissants.
