February may be a short month but Valentine’s Day and the long CNY weekend are good enough reasons for us to explore new eateries. While there’s no massive food trends — yet (remember the nasi lemak craze?), these new restaurants and cafés in KL are still pretty special to visit.
For starters, there’s J’s Gate Dining, technically a single restaurant, but they brought in 18 of Japan’s best specialty restaurants together in a single location. If KL’s humid weather is too hot for you to handle, cool down with Amore Espresso Bar’s best-selling Latte Softserve. Wizards At Tribeca is another successful eatery by the founders of The Red Beanbag and Yellow Brick Road. The place may be #instaworthy, but their all day Melbourne-inspired brunches is what made us stay a tad bit longer. There’s also Maiko Tea Café in Bangsar for anyone that enjoys anything that is made with green tea. Beta KL is one of the newest in town too, a brainchild of founders from Skillet@163.
This list has a good mix of cuisines as well: Western, Japanese, or just good old’ Malaysian dishes. If you managed to go through all 10 new restaurants in January, here’s 8 more for you to discover this February.
