Now that you’ve got that out of the way, it’s time to plan for the dinner. We know the MCO period was tough; it’s time to take a break from the kitchen.

Check out the newly-reopened EQ Kuala Lumpur in all its glitz and glory. The iconic hotel makes its return into the KL city skyline with a treat for Father’s Day at its in-house restaurant, Nipah. Tuck into a sumptuous barbecue brunch with a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. All fathers present at the brunch will also be eligible for a lucky draw, with the grand prize being a weekend staycation for two at EQ Kuala Lumpur. The second prize a one-hour Sanctum Spa treatment and the third prize is a buffet lunch at Nipah for two. Father’s Day hampers will also be available for purchase or delivery at Nipah.

For one night only, indulge in EQ Kuala Lumpur’s dining in the sky concept at its rooftop restaurant, Sabayon. It boasts the best views of the KL city skyline with a contemporary European cuisine while utilising local produce as well. The Father’s Day special four-course menu will be available for either lunch or dinner service. It will start off with an amuse-bouche, featuring the chef’s choice of the day. Your first course is a purple cured salmon with avocado guacamole and lemon mayo; the second course is a Jerusalem artichoke velouté with sweetbreads and porcini dust; the third course is a mixed grill featuring tenderloin, lamb chop, truffle sausages with foie gras, and scallop; and lastly, end the night with a dark chocolate cigar with salted caramel and cinnamon foam.

Everyone’s favourite celebrity chef is back with De.Wan 1958, a truly authentic and modern take on Malaysian cuisine. Whether it’s for dining in or having it delivered, rest assured that your appetite will be well taken care of. For this Father’s Day, De.Wan 1958 is offering two special dishes to celebrate the occasion. The first is the Australian lamb rack bakar percik that comes with pineapple chutney, sambal, and a salad. Instead of dining in, Michelin-starred chef Jeff Ramsey with his restaurant Babe is bringing the dinner to you. Its Father’s Day meal kits are prepped and ready to be cooked with each meal kit being able to feed two people. Just a stone’s throw away is Way Modern Chinois, which is also offering a pork-free, modern interpretation of Chinese cuisine. For Father’s Day, the restaurant is offering a specially curated four-course menu that will be available at both lunch and dinner service at a limited time only. There are two variations, which can feed either a family of four or eight. Some highlights from the menu include its truffle roast duck, supreme crab roe seafood soup with black caviar, and stir-fry dragon leaf with scallops to name a few. Just for Father’s Day, the Troika Sky Dining group is putting on a special collaboration between chef Shaun of Fuego and chef Mischa from Mr. Chew’s Chino Latino Bar to create the ultimate brunch. This five-course smorgasbord of a brunch menu starts off with an assorted bread basket before working its way down to its starters, which include a barramundi ceviche and picked prawn spring rolls; it’s carving station offers either the black cumin chicken or the grilled flank steak; desserts are also available like its banana burrito and the ginger flan.
