Denizens of Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), here’s a guide to all your MCO dining options within your neighbourhood.
In our series of #SupportLocal, we take the liberty to help our F&B industry continue to sustain through times of uncertainty. Little by little, you can also do your part by showing some love to your favourite restaurants and cafes in and around your neighbourhood.
You may not notice the struggles of your favourite eateries in and around your housing area but they are definitely trying to make ends meet. While you’re inspired to make your own meal from scratch — bread, pasta, or simple breakfasts — at home, ordering in sometimes can be a good idea to give yourself a break while satisfying some cravings you’ve had all week.
In the first series of #SupportLocal, we venture into the vibrant neighbourhood of TTDI where the likes of old and new restaurants thrive in their own rights. There are healthy poke bowls from Paperfish and Rawsome TTDI for fitness junkies, decadent burnt cheesecakes (there’s a matcha version too) from Oh Cha Matcha, and even wood-fired pizzas to keep you in a good mood all day.
For many restaurant and cafe owners, the inevitable decision to absorb delivery fees can be quite detrimental to its cost control. With making losses becoming a constant for these local businesses, many find little joy when things are breaking even.
There are several ways for you to support local business in your neighbourhood during this trying time. You can help your favourite restaurants and cafes continue to sustain by purchasing your next meal through deliveries or takeaways. Or even show your support online by sharing photos of your orders through social media so that others can show their support too.
As the MCO gets stricter, delivery services are only available only within 10km to 20km radius from the TTDI neighbourhood. This is a list that you should bookmark or share with those staying within this vicinity as a quick guide when you cannot decide on what to eat.
