Negroni Week 2020 will be a little different this year.

Last year, we celebrated 100 years of the Negroni cocktail with a bang at over 39 participating bars and restaurants. This year’s Negroni Week is going to be a lot quieter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still support the cause.

For the unfamiliar, Negroni Week is an international charity initiative started by Campari and Imbibe Magazine eight years ago. Local bartenders would band together to raise money for a particular charity. Last year, bartenders from around Malaysia rallied together to raise funds for several charitable causes. Since most bars are still unable to open in Malaysia due to the pandemic, Campari and Remy Cointreau in collaboration with Wholly Spirits will be taking it online.

Negroni Week 2020 will be running from 14th to 20th September 2020, but you can already participate now by purchasing a series of exclusive Negroni Week Sets from Wholly Spirits. A portion of the proceeds will go to a charity organisation (to be announced).

So while you can’t head to your favourite local bars to get a Negroni, these sets will allow you to make countless Negronis at home. It’s also one of the easier classic cocktails to make — all you need is to measure out equal parts of gin, Campari, and vermouth (all of which are already part of the sets), stir with ice, strain, and serve in a chilled rocks glass.

Wholly Spirits will be selling two Negroni Week Sets (priced at RM531 each), with Set A including a bottle of Campari, Hendrick’s Gin, and Cinzano 1757 Rosso vermouth. Set B includes a bottle of Campari, The Botanist Gin, and Cinzano 1757 Rosso vermouth.

Both Negroni Week sets will come with a complimentary gift, which you can choose from. Pick either a Cocktail Stirring Set which includes a bar spoon with a bottle opener, mixing glass, and tumbler glass; or the Cocktail Shaking Set which includes a shaker can and cup, Hawthorne strainer, and a cocktail jigger.
