This year, Louis XIII is giving us not one but six choices of gift sets for only the nicest people in our lives. That could also mean yourself.

The holidays are the perfect time to be generous, whether it’s to yourself or to others. While generosity is relative, some gifts are more special than others, especially when it concerns something as exquisite as Louis XIII. For this year’s holidays, the luxury cognac house is presenting The Gift Collection, comprising six bespoke coffrets that you can customise to fit its recipient.

As a starting point, the box is made up of three separate compartments: the largest chamber houses a classic 70cl decanter of Louis XIII cognac, while the top drawer holds two cognac glasses designed by Christophe Pillet, engraved with the fleur de lys. The glasses can be inscribed with a special message, name, or date.

As for the final drawer, that’s where the customisation comes into play. There’s The Expert set, which comes with an engraved pipette, white gloves, and a quiz set with 10 secrets on Louis XIII. Then, there’s The Cigar set with a fleur de lys-engraved S.T. Dupont lighter and a chrome-plated cigar cutter. The Caviar set has a fleur de lys-engraved Christofle silver-plated caviar serving set and five pearl caviar spoons.

The Bellotta Bellota set comes with a white bellota ham porcelain volcano plate with a 22-carat gold-plating fleur de lys made by Bernardaud. The Serving set has a fleur de lys-engraved silver-plated tray and coasters from Christofle. Finally, The Souvenir set comes with a fleur de lys-engraved Christofle silver photo frame and Baccarat crystal fleur de lys paperweight.

While the Louis XIII gift set is only available in certain countries, Malaysia stands to be one of the lucky few to have two sets: The Cigar set and The Caviar set. These will be available by December 2020, just in time for you to gift them to someone extremely special.
