The Macallan Edition No. 2 embodies the beauty of creative collaboration, between master whiskey maker Bob Dalgarno and legendary Spanish chefs Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca.
In the spirit of collaboration, Junior – Master Mixologist of Marini’s on 57 – worked with The Macallan to celebrate the birth of The Macallan Edition No. 2 with a specially crafted cocktail, “The Antibiotic”. The balance of sweet, sour and a touch of truffle brings out the distinctive personalities of The Macallan Edition No. 2.
This limited edition unites the flavours chosen by these four masters, with a unique, hand-picked selection of European and American oak casks. The result is a complex, yet approachable whiskey that challenges expectations: it begins with layers of vanilla and tropical fruit with notes of treacle, ginger and toffee apple. The palate carries more spice, with hints of chocolate, oak and brown sugar. This leads to a smooth, silky finish filled liquorice and brandy snaps.
