Porsche’s new Cayenne Platinum Edition is one sexy, sporty ride. Recently launched in Malaysia, the car is essentially a souped up version of the standard Cayenne. What’s different about this new ride is its large 20-inch wheels, which are fashioned from satin platinum and are similar to those found in the RS Spyder. The car also boasts sill guards with the ‘Platinum Edition’ logo, and head rests emblazoned with the Porsche crest.
Similar to the base model, the Cayenne Platinum Edition is fitted with leather seats with electric eight-way adjustment and Alcantara centre panels. It is equipped with Bi-xenon main headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus, and ParkAssist in the front and back. The car also comes with a 3.6-litre V6 motor, which has an output of 220kW (300hp) and consumes 9.2 litres of fuel every 100 km.
The model comes in a standard non-metallic black and white finish, as well as other colours such as Deep Black, Purpurite, Mahogany, Carrera White or Rhodium Silver metallic paints. For the wheel arches, a range of shades is available.
The Cayenne Platinum Edition is also equipped with a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, which offers features such as a high-resolution touch display and online navigation. The car is priced at RM 698,000.
