Rolls-Royce bids goodbye to an icon with a limited-edition Ghost Zenith collection

Reigning supreme for ten years is an achievement not many can boast. Unless, of course, it’s the Roll-Royce Ghost you’re talking about. It is, after all, the marque’s most successful car. And now, as the British luxury carmaker bids a fond farewell to this icon, the brand does so by introducing the spectacular Ghost Zenith Collection — a limited-edition series of 50 specially-designed Ghost Rolls-Royces, certain to be a collector’s delight and aspiration.

Ghost Zenith

First introduced in 2009, the 200EX Ghost broke trends with its earlier counterparts almost instantly by presenting a smaller, more manoeuvrable size and driver-focused approach that captured the interest of a younger clientele. Featuring some of the most exquisite expressions of bespoke detailing ever witnessed, the Ghost Zenith Collection pays homage to the original 200EX with several artistic touches.

“The Ghost Zenith Collection presents an entirely forward-looking study of the unique characteristics that have seen Ghost ascend to the status of the most progressive super-luxury saloon ever conceived,” said Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

This includes a commemorative ingot, engraved with the words ‘One Of Fifty’, that has been set in every car’s central console. It’s accompanied by a blueprint-type etching detailing the technical aspects of the automobile. A clock and the Spirit of Ecstasy statuette also display the proud engraving marking the Zenith series.

The inside roof of the automobile adds theatrical flair with its beautiful artwork of shooting stars, made with shimmering fibre-optic lights. Meanwhile, the deep leather seats, their richness enhanced by contrasting shades, showcase fine embroidery inspired by the detailing in the original Silver Ghost from 1907. And the intricate marquetry on the doors panels, available in a choice of wood, technical fibre or piano-finished veneers, is truly remarkable.

The Ghost Zenith’s exterior provides that final touch of sophisticated elegance with its two-tone, gloss-contrast paint finish. Iguazu Blue with Andalusian White, Premiere Silver with Arctic White, as well as a dramatic Bohemian Red with Black Diamond, along with several variants, are some of the striking options on offer for customers.
