Take an off-road spin with the new Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L

We get it: being cooped up in the city all week can be tiring. The constant traffic and flow of people are detrimental to the mind and soul. Which is why, come the weekend it’s time to ditch your city coupé, switch to an SUV and go an off-road trip into the wilderness. It will be muddy, but rest assured you’re in good hands — especially if you’re inside the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L. After all, they have not been consistently winning the Dakar Rally for nothing.

The Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L joins the ranks of the automotive brand’s locally-assembled cars, including the Outlander 2.0L which was just introduced last September. The SUV may have a great performance, but it also places a great emphasis on safety.

Seven SRS airbags ensure the safety of all passengers in the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L.

This is particularly evident with its intelligent 4WD system, which lets you pick from three modes on the Multi-Select 4WD system: 4WD Eco, 4WD Auto, and 4WD Lock. The driver is to pick the mode to suit the current conditions of the terrain. Outside of the intelligent 4WD system, other safety features of the Outlander 2.4L include seven airbags, ABS and EBD, Brake Assist, Active Stability and Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

360-degree cameras on the outside of the vehicle gives you a full view with no blind spots.

When driving off-road, visibility around the car may be limited especially when you’re at a 40-degree side-tilt. The Outlander 2.4L gives you eyes outside of the car with the All Round Monitor, providing a 360-degree bird’s eye view of the car including possible blind spots. Never miss a spot again.

Finally, all that off-road adventure is nothing without the perfect road trip playlist. The Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L will seamlessly integrate that feature into the SUV with its 7-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay functionality. Don’t want to touch? There’s also an Air Gesture Control feature for your convenience.

Now, you’ll be all set for your off-road adventure.
