When it comes to electrical appliances for your home, LG is known throughout the world as one of the frontrunners. Sure, it’s televisions are on a different level compared to many other competitors, but its home appliances are where it shines. One of its greatest innovations by far is its ThinQ artificial intelligence (AI) software, capable of integrating your smartphone with various household appliances via a single app, moulding the future of a smart home.
This proprietary AI app allows you to sync up all your LG-related smart home appliances alongside smart home speakers and the such all by a push of a button. This ranges from its OLED TVs to refrigerators, air-conditioners, water purifiers, electric fans, and even its washing machines and dryers.
LG’s entire aim behind this unveiling is to introduce connected preventive health as part of its smart home concept. This is evident is its mass array of home appliances, all of which were made with its consumers’ health in its best interest. From cleanliness to hygiene and energy-saving features, LG is looking to take the home appliances industry by storm with its innovative offerings.
LG has always been known for its televisions, particularly its OLED TVs. A more affordable option would be its NanoCell TVs, which offers the same level of performance in an LED display. All of LG’s top-range televisions offer a wide array of AI features, which includes the picture and audio quality, brightness, and even acoustic tuning. Both OLED and NanoCell TVs are capable of listening and acting upon a user’s command, thanks to the LG ThinQ AI platform. You can now seamlessly select your favourite shows, ask questions, and even take control of your compatible smart home devices, straight from the television. All this can be done through the LG Magic Remote, which comes with a built-in microphone.
If you’re used to opening the refrigerator for a few seconds, peeking inside, and closing it soon after, fret not. LG has a solution to that now. Its InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator comes with a see-through panel on one side. A simple ‘knock knock’ on the panel will show you what’s held within. Now you can see what’s inside the refrigerator without having to open the door. This reduces the loss of cold air up to 41%, and produce is kept fresher and lasts longer. The refrigerator can also be controlled through the ThinQ smartphone app; you can now make ice remotely without having to walk to the fridge. The app will also notify you if the refrigerator door has been left ajar.
The latest technology trend coming out from South Korea, the LG PuriCare Tankless water purifier is looking to elevate the way we consume water. It provides clean drinking water in a quick, environmentally-friendly way with the help of its cutting-edge tankless technology. The water purifier directly filters the water without needing a tank, which is where harmful microorganisms and bacteria may grow. The water purifier can also instantly offer hygienic drinking water in various temperatures, whether it be hot, cold, or room temperature. The slim design of the water purifier with a 180° rotating tap makes it easier to use without taking up too much space. Its intuitive touchscreen display will also allow users to set the preferred volume of water and also check on its filter status.
