#StyleWithMachine contest winner, Stanley Chiang, on what inspires him and what he enjoys about Machine’s hair styling products for men.
Unsurprisingly, the way you feel and look may play a huge influence in how you express yourself on a daily basis. Cliché but very true, you are beautiful the way you are — and you don’t need Bruno Mars to tell you that. That’s not to say you can’t seek or reach out for extra help to uplift your mood (and appearance); be it from the clothes you wear, the makeup you put on, the skincare you apply, the hair products you use, or the grooming services available everywhere.
For creative hairstylists such as Stanley Chiang Yuen Sing, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing happiness and satisfaction on the faces of clients. The winner of the #StyleWithMachine contest — by men’s hair styling brand Machine — understands that, like other beauty services, just a touch of hairstyling prowess can help add a little perk in anyone’s steps. “The most enjoyable moment is the final outcome: creating a hairstyle like how I envisioned it in my mind,” quips Stanley.
Everything matters to the Sabahan hairstylist with more than a decade of experience, from the mise en scène down to the smallest details — evident with the Malaysian’s interests in pursuing videography and photography. For Stanley’s work in the #StyleWithMachine contest, the creative reaches out to the faithful and innovative aid of Machine hair products, available in wax, clay, and pomade variants.
“I think Machine hairstyling products are really cool! The texture is fantastic and is very easy to apply. It can be washed off easily and quickly thanks to its water-based formula”, expounds Stanley. In addition to its water-based formulation, Machine’s products also comprise Jeju Lava Seawater, ceramide, and macadamia nut oil — promoting strong, nourished, healthy, and smooth hair. Looking for a hair product that’s paraben-free? The line of products by Machine, including Glossy Pomade, Matte Pomade, Clay, Soft Hair Texture Wax, and Solid Texture Wax, is all free from paraben and synthetic colourants.
Stanley, who takes immense inspiration from social media and mere imagination, took home the grand prize of RM800 as well as a feature on Lifestyle Asia KL from winning the #StyleWithMachine contest. Now, let’s find out more about the winner!
