Robert De Niro isn’t a face often seen on fashion campaigns, nor is McCaul Lombardi, and yet, the mismatched duo form the faces of Ermenegildo Zegna’s latest Spring/Summer ’17 film, titled Defining Moments.
Fashion loves creating harmony out of seemingly dissonant parts, and the De Niro-Lombardi combination propels just that. Dressed wholly in Ermenegildo Zegna, the campaign film follows the two actors interacting with one another in a series of casual encounters, sharing the defining moments in both life and career, wholly unscripted. The younger actor quizzes the older veteran, gleaning inspiration and sharing his experiences in what becomes an engaging exchange between two passionate actors.
Under the Defining Moments banner, Ermenegildo Zegna plans to incite more conversations with tastemakers in the fashion field, expanding and engaging with a wider audience through select events.
