Manolo Blahnik Winter 2019
For his Winter 2019 collection, Blahnik pays homage to icons, artists, architecture and locations which are close to his heart. This collection is bold and powerful, due to his equally powerful inspirations such as Bianca Jagger; a close friend of Blahnik who is renowned for her style and balance between femininity and masculinity. The designer also took inspiration from Bauhaus, the influential German Art School founded by Walter Gropius in 1919, infusing its clean lines, structural exterior and muted colour palette into the designs.
These are just the very few that are listed but one trend that made a comeback this season is his speciality in creating unisex footwear. Androgynous slippers, creepers and desert boots are included into this collection, versatile for both the gents and the ladies.
