Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear returns for a fifth year running and Lifestyle Asia is once again the official luxury online media for KL’s biggest fashion event. We kicked off Day 1 of KL Fashion Week 2017 with Fashion Valet as they showcased their #IAMHOMEGROWN collection.

Helmed by Vivy Yusof and Fadzarudin Anuar, #IAMHOMEGROWN is a campaign that celebrates local talent no matter the industry. More than sixty Malaysian icons were featured in the campaign including the likes of Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, Joe Flizzow, Khoon Hooi and Madam Kwan. In fact, some of the people featured in the campaign also made an appearance during the fashion show sporting the #IAMHOMEGROWN statement T-shirt.

In conjunction with the campaign, Fashion Valet’s in-house brand FV Basics showcased a collection of street style inspired outfits on the runway. In the collection, we see the signature #IAMHOMEGROWN statement on T-shirts, sweaters, sweater dresses, and leggings. To show how versatile these basic pieces can be, it was styled with various other clothing pieces ranging from faux fur and glittery dresses to metallic jackets and pleated skirts. You can now shop the collection online at Fashion Valet or head to their store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
