After first teasing a bright yellow hoodie during Chanel’s Cruise 2018/2019 collection, the much-anticipated capsule collection done in collaboration with Pharrell Williams is finally here. Known as Chanel-Pharrell, the capsule collection features heavy streetwear influences while still being unisex. This is a perfect way for Chanel to focus more on menswear as well.

The entire collection will feature over 40 items with over a dozen being ready-to-wear pieces. To make matters even better, these pieces will carry Chanel’s signature motifs like the intertwining C’s, No.5, and even Coco. These iconic designs blend well together with the American singer-songwriter-entrepreneuer’s urban vibe overall, bringing with it a new range of products to come out from Chanel.

Williams has maintained a very close relationship with the haute couture fashion house, especially Karl Lagerfeld, which eventually led to this day. The entire collection ranges from footwear, to ready-to-wear pieces like hoodies, sweaters, and t-shirts, to even accessories.

Williams utilises a wide range of colours for his first-ever collection with various typographies and texts as well as rhinestone-embedded brooches for the accessories. There are also pieces that have been borrowed from a man’s wardrobe, which is a long-standing tradition at the fashion house.
