Goop, the lifestyle brand spearheaded by Gwyneth Paltrow, has teamed up with Proenza Schouler on an activewear collection.
The lifestyle label and the luxury fashion brand have unveiled G. Sport, a limited-edition activewear line focused on “contemporary cutouts, sleek contours, and a retro palette,” according to the Goop website.
“We’ve been lucky enough to know Gwyneth for some time now and are constantly amazed by the work she is doing at Goop,” Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez told WWD via a statement. “When she called and asked if we would be interested in working together, we said yes. We love everything about Goop and know so many Proenza Schouler customers who live in both brands. In many ways, we consider Gwyneth to be the ultimate Proenza Schouler woman.”
The series, which is now available online, includes modern separates such as a sports bra, t-shirts, cutout top, jumpsuit and jacket.
The move marks the first activewear series for New York-based Proenza Schouler, but the brand is no stranger to collaboration with major brands, having previously launched a makeup collection with the French beauty house Lancôme. Goop, for its part, has collaborated with Banana Republic and Stella McCartney, to name just a few.
