The new Sloggi Go Allround series comes in only one size, intending to fit every body shape out there.

Frequent bras wearers will acknowledge that there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all bra out there. Choosing the right bra is one of the most convoluted affairs out there — perhaps even more than navigating your next quarantine meal. There’s the matter of getting your cup sizing right (God forbid if you buy a bra just before your period and you’re bloated), the circumference of your chest area, the right design for the right outfit, and many other annoying procedures. The icing on the cake? It’s not even comfortable to wear a bra.

The Sloggi Go Allround is a new collection that only has one size designed to fit all.

So, imagine my curiosity when iconic intimates brand Sloggi told me that they have recently launched the Go Allround, an intimates collection comprising a bralette and two briefs (maxi and hipster styles) that come in one size intending to fit any and every body shape out there.

What is it?

The Sloggi Go Allround is a new collection of intimates available in just one size. This is made possible thanks to an extremely stretchable fabric made of MicroModal. This fabric has the ability to gently adapt to a wide range of body shapes and sizes, from S to XL. While some extremely stretchable fabric might cut into your skin if you stretch it out, the MicroModal fabric won’t do that because it feels extremely comfortable and soft on the skin.

The collection comes in four shades: Black; Indian Summer, a peachy nude colour; Peanut Butter, a light skin tone nude; and Kaluha, a gorgeous deep brown-maroon shade.

Is it truly a one-size-fits-all?

It is.

It doesn’t say much coming from someone who can generally fit into most “free-size” clothing out there, but if you need further proof, this video by Jenn Chia is a pretty good marker. Otherwise, if you trust my word, the bralette really is extremely stretchy. The elasticity of the fabric is an unusual one that I’ve never encountered yet. We’re all pretty much used to elastic waistband pants, but even those have a limit and tend to have a fair bit of resistance when you stretch it to its maximum. For the Go Allround briefs and bralette, the stretch was uniform and seemed quite endless, for lack of a better word.

What I like about its design is how it pays attention to comfort. The collection is, after all, designed for daily wear. The bands around the waist for the briefs and the bralette aren’t too thin, so they sit comfortably on your skin without digging into it. You know how overly stretch waistbands feel — not great. The fabric also moves together with you, so it doesn’t feel like you’ve been suffocated by your underwear. It truly is comfortable daily wear intimates that you can swap out with your “granny panties”. Everyone has those, there’s no need to feel ashamed about it.

The set in Kaluha.

Okay, so where can I get this?

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until the Movement Control Order lifts because the collection is only available in department stores. It is available in all Triumph stores and most department stores.
