Salvatore Ferragamo unveils Magic of Print Capsule Collection

An unmistakable symbol from the 60s is making its comeback this season.

The words bright and bold often follows after the mention of the spring/summer season. It’s a common trend that fashion giants proudly partake, with their own reinterpretation of one of the most recognisable trends in the industry. Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo is one of them; and this season, the label unveiled Magic of Print Capsule Collection.

Ferragamo silks have been the brand’s symbol of craftsmanship, perfect combination of taste, savoir-faire and Italian decorative style since the 1960s. It’s what the label described as ‘a magical experience in the universe’, which indeed made them a brand that is one-of-a-kind in the world. The silks returned, in the form of this special capsule collection as an ode to Maison’s heritage.

Its prints are a combination of patchwork designs of iconic elements from its archive, which includes felines, flowers, shoes, butterflies, elephants and sultans, amidst dreams of the Orient and enchanted flora. Small perfections are embellished in each print, which is deliberately maintained, typical of freehand drawings and sketches that are found in the Milanese archives. Details such as these are what makes it even more unique. Each accessory is a result of veritable work of art to be worn, gifted or collected.

Magic of Print Capsule Collection’s range of silks includes foulards, stoles, bandeaux, a headscarf with leather visor and scarves.

Viva Shoe now comes in a ruffled version for its line of footwear accompanied by chunky-heeled sandals, flats and sneakers.

For bags, the selection focuses on the brand’s latest signature bag that is inspired by the Viva Shoe. The iconic Boxyz and Ferragmo Studio bag join the line up as well.

No summer wardrobe will be complete without silk blouson top, pleated midi skirts, dresses, and more. The ready-to-wear selection offers a complete seasonal wardrobe, completed with a kaleidoscope of colours and shapes that best represents the season and the Maison’s strong bond with the world of art.
