Remember when transparent boots were all the rage, then dad sneakers became a thing? Well, these two trends are brought together in the new Skechers x Reality To Idea collection.

The collaboration between Skechers and Los Angeles-based visual artist Joshua Vides showcases the artist’s signature 2D pop art style, essentially rendering any 3D shapes into 2D designs. Vides’ Reality To Idea brand is also known for its monochromatic black and white designs, which translates into this collection with Skechers.

The collection features not just sneakers, but also apparel and accessories for both men and women. Vides’ iconic black and white sketch lines appear throughout the apparel and accessories collection, from the bumbag to the hoodies, T-shirts, and more.

However, the standout pieces from the collection definitely have to be the sneakers. Here, we see the Skechers Stamina 2.0 chunky lifestyle sneaker (which also got a colourful update in its Chinatown Market collaboration) in both black and white colourways. Our favourite part though has to be the transparent panels. More than just a trendy take on the sneaker, these transparent panels also allow a literal window into Reality To Idea’s sketch lines on the inner soles of the sneaker. Of course, you can jazz it up by bringing out your funky printed socks to play when wearing these sneakers.

The Skechers x Reality To Idea collection is available at selected Skechers concept stores including at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Suria KLCC, Sunway Pyramid, Pavillion Kuala Lumpur, The Intermark Mall. The collection is also available online at the official website as well as Lazada and Shopee
