Few of us can walk gracefully and not stumble when wearing sky-high stilettos. Even fewer when it comes to roller skates. But combine the two and you’ll have footwear that is virtually impossible to walk, let alone skate in. Yet, that was what Anthony Vaccarello did with these USD1,995 roller skate stilettos, featured in the brand’s accessories collection this Fall/Winter 2017.

Safety hazard aside, the Anya 100 Patch Pump Roller is actually quite the work of art in fashion terms; the roller skate stilettos come in four variations to suit ladies (or men — we don’t judge) of any personality. There’s a classy-looking version in black studded with crystals and a fiercely-chic one in reptile patent black with red applique. For something more colourful, we like the pop art-esque ones in multicoloured patches of snakeskin.

If you feel you can master the roller skate stilettos, we urge you to go right ahead. The design does come with a functional brake pad after all. But for those of us who would rather stick to more conventional ways of roller skating (i.e. not with stilettos), thankfully there’s a high-top sneakers version instead, found in the men’s F/W ’17 collection.

One thing’s for sure, you’ll definitely be gliding past turned heads in these.
