Tommy Hilfiger is getting playful this spring, thanks to a brand-new collection with Looney Tunes.
The US designer’s Tommy Jeans label has partnered with the Warner Bros. entertainment franchise to launch a Tommy Jeans Looney Tunes capsule collection that brings some of the industry’s most beloved classic cartoon characters to streetwear pieces. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat, Tasmanian Devil, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote all make appearances in the new fashion series.
“The Tommy Jeans Looney Tunes capsule is an exciting blend of two brands defined by youthful energy and determined optimism,” said Hilfiger in a statement. “We are both dedicated to honouring our heritage, while constantly reimagining them with a fresh twist that resonates today. This shared spirit and its expression make our collaboration a natural fit for the next generation of fans around the world.”
The collection — which also includes a childrenswear series — spans staples such as relaxed-fit sweatshirts, a cropped hoodie, a denim jacket, sweatpants, pool slides, a backpack, a fisherman’s hat and a baseball cap. The kidswear line includes a denim dungaree and denim jacket for girls, as well as sweatpants, crew neck sweaters and a critter hoodie for boys. T-shirts, a bum bag, backpack and bucket hat have been designed to be worn by everyone.
It is set to roll out at select Tommy Jeans stores globally and online at tommy.com in Europe, the Asia Pacific and the US.
