Trend to try: Square-toed shoes versus your basic pointy flats

Just when we thought fashion is done with bringing back trends from the past — bucket hats, embellished hair clips, dad sandals, chunky sneakers and the list goes on — it doesn’t stop there. Sculptural shoes and heels have graced multiple runways throughout the year, so it’s no surprise to us that one specific design ’emerged’ as a winner and became a must-have for many. It’s unique but still very much wearable for the everyday woman (or man) — we are talking about square-toed shoes.

Unlike your average pointy flats or heels — which you’re probably wearing right now as you read this, these square-toed ones are more fashion-forward, out of the norm, interesting, even with just a slight eccentricity in its shape. It’s a silhouette from the 90s, but fashion giants redesigned its bulky and chunky form to sleek and classy-looking. These are now in an edgier streamlined silhouette instead of the previously heavy and bulky kind.
