Just a couple of days ago, the debut collection from Kim Jones for Dior Men’s Summer 2019 dropped in stores. If you’ve already shopped the entire collection and are clamouring for more, you won’t have to wait long, as he is set to showcase his first Winter 2019/20 collection for the historic French house in just a couple of hours.
If the teasers are anything to go by, we can expect a plethora of darker shades and tones to come out onto the runway. As with Jones’ previous two shows, there will be collaborators aplenty, with a familiar giant sculpture making its mark as the centrepiece. For his Summer 2019 show, it was a giant effigy inspired by Monsieur Christian Dior created by Kaws, and for Pre-fall it was an idealised robot female designed by Hajime Sorayama. With such varying themes, it would surely pique the curiosity of not just fashionistas, but of artists as well.
