It’s the season of giving and what better way to show your appreciation to loved ones than gifting them with a watch. Timepieces symbolise the cycle of life – every rotation represents a phase of life whether it’s a joyous occasion, love, failure or success. It reminds you of important moments in life that are shared and a legacy handed from one person to the other.

Blogger, Cyrus Yong agrees that timepieces are the perfect gift to capture momentous occasions. “A watch is something that you’d keep and wear all the time. This joy of giving and receiving will last a lifetime,” he says.

Cyrus sports the Longines Conquest V.H.P. Chronograph, which he suggests is best paired with a suit and sneakers for a semi-formal look. An oversized shirt and well-tailored pants work well for a casual combination with the timepiece.

Former beauty queen, Vanessa Tevi straps on the elegant Longines Record Collection. Small-faced timepieces are great to add a classy touch to a day or night look. “I’d accessorise my small-faced watch with some bracelets and rings for special occasions. But personally, I like wearing big-faced watches for sports and outdoor activities,” she shares.

Fashion and fitness enthusiast, Pipi Razi agrees that the watch is a symbolic gift for this season. “It’s an exhilarating feeling when you receive a watch as a gift. It’s also equally exciting to present someone with a timepiece as well – a meaningful gesture of friendship and love,” he says.

Sporting the Longines Hydroconquest with a suave sophistication, Pipi believes that the timepiece should fit the personality of the recipient when considering it as a present. He shares: “The steel finish with a vibrant grey bezel and blue face fits someone urban, stylish and masculine. But whether it’s a dress watch with leather strap or sports watch with a canvas band, it’s always good to have options.”

Whether it’s an elegant small-faced timepiece or a hardy sports watch, Longines has a wide range of watch options to fit one’s character and personal style. Vanessa concludes: “It’s a great gift for a special someone because it’s the best way to be remembered.”
