A second DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok opens in Ploenchit

Seemingly in conjunction with the brand’s 50th anniversary, DoubleTree by Hilton celebrates with the opening of a second DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok. This time, the hotel is located in the central area of Ploenchit, conveniently within walking distance from the vibrant Sukhumvit Road.

“Bangkok is consecutively recognised as the most visited city in the world and there are some great opportunities for us to cater to the evolving needs of travellers,” said Hilton’s South East Asia vice president of operations Paul Hutton. “From today, DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit will join five other well-established Hilton hotels in Bangkok, enabling us to offer our guests more choices and cater to a more diverse range of travel demands.”

The hotel boasts 251 rooms, all of which are tastefully decorated in a contemporary style that can be reflected across most DoubleTree by Hilton properties. All rooms offer large windows, perfect to let in natural light and the Bangkok cityscape. Also perfect for business travellers, the rooms come equipped with the necessary amenities including a working desk, laptop-sized safe, and a 43-inch flat-screen HD TV.

However, DoubleTree understands that work isn’t all there is to business travellers – a good night’s rest is essential too, which is why the Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree mattress will be perfect to ensure that happens. The gym is also open 24 hours, should you feel the need to work off some steam at 3 AM in the morning.
