Editor’s picks: 10 best things to shop at the Sephora Beauty Pass sale this week

Hands up if you’re guilty of walking out with a striped monochromatic bag every time you step foot into Sephora.

If you, like us, can’t enough of the latest drops from the beauty giant, then you’ll be pleased to know that the Sephora Beauty Pass Sale is upon us, and it couldn’t have come at a better time too.

Happening from 9 -13 September for Gold Tier members and a day later for Black and White Tier members, the sale will see as much as 20 percent off regular priced items for members of the top two tiers, and 15 percent off for White Tier members, so you’ll want to stock up on all your favourite products (or try new ones) here.

The fun doesn’t end there; Gold Tier holders will also receive a limited-edition Sephora Beauty Obsessions Pouch — essentially a mini greatest hits list — with any purchase online, or a three-piece mask set with any spend in-store. Black and White Tier members will receive this with a minimum spend of S$250 in a single online transaction, or a five-piece Sephora Collection Deluxe set in stores.

If you want to switch up your beauty routine, Sephora is also launching Beauty Besties boxes, which sees brands like Nars, Sulwhasoo, and Bobbi Brown celebrate their iconic bestsellers in a pre-packaged and more affordable kit.

Ahead of the Sephora sale, here are some of our favourite products we can’t wait to cop.

If you’ve been looking for a palette which can do it all, from breezy neutrals for work to smoky eyes for a night out, this will end your search. This 14-shade, warm-toned neutral palette comes with an easy mix of matte and glamorous shimmer finishes so you can build up your look as the day commences. The highly pigmented hues boast a luxuriously creamy texture that sit in place without any fallout, and can be applied on-the-go with the palette’s double-ended brush within.

So you’ve been big on haircare, but to take your tresses to the next level, you’ll need to look at where it spends the most time on. Made from Slipsilk, a fabric made from the highest grade of long fibre mulberry silk, this pillowcase not only does away with sleep creases on your face, but also significantly reduces hair tangles and unruly bedheads the next morning. Besides, because silk fibres are less absorbent, it’ll keep expensive face and hair products where they belong.

If you’ve always wanted to dive into the world of lactic acid and retinol but don’t know where to start, Sunday Riley has the perfect crash course for you. Its two bestsellers — Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment and Luna Sleeping Night Oil — make this kit one you’ll want to end the day with. The former exfoliates and revitalises the skin with blue tansy and German chamomile, while the latter is a high-potency lactic acid that removes pore-clogging dead skin for brighter and more even skin tone.

The Inkey List built a cult following based on its straightforward approach to skin care, and this moisturiser is no exception. Created for those who want the perfect starter moisturiser, this formula sees a cocktail of essential skin vitamins such as vitamin B3 ( or niacinamide) to balance oil levels, vitamin C for brightening, and vitamin E to prevent inflammation. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid and antioxidant Phytrox to combat dryness and dullness in the skin.

Your face shouldn’t be the only thing that gets all the attention when you snooze. Like an intensive night cream, Kérastase’s overnight serum was specially made to repair your hair as you sleep, with iris root extract and a vitamin blend that nurtures and seals nutrients to leave hair with a satin shine after eight hours. Besides smelling amazing — the scent evolves from relaxing to refreshing throughout the night —the leave-in formula also prevents dreaded tangles, and doesn’t leave hair greasy in the morning.

Not all bedheads were naturally created sexy. For days when we look like a hot mess, we like to reach for GHD’s Glide Hot Brush. The professional tool works best if you want perfectly styled, smoothened hair, and not the stick-straight rebonded look of the 2000s. For those worried about heat damage, the comb has a combination of ceramic technology with ionising properties, and is set to an optimum 185 degrees Celsius to keep hair healthy while eliminating frizz.

Taking inspiration from places of adventure and romance, the Ombré Leather is a warm, sensual deep dive into the opulence of leather and spices. The unisex fragrance sees layered floral and spicy notes of cardamom, jasmine sambac, and leather, before giving way to more delicate florals like jasmine and patchouli.

It’s not often we come across a matte lipstick that doesn’t dry the life out of our puckers. This version contains antioxidants like Lipstick Tree and Orchid extract to soothe, hydrate, and protect the delicate skin area, with 3D glowing pigments for the illusion of fuller lips. Pillow Talk is a splendid nude-pink to build your collection upon (bonus points for being a celebrity favourite), but don’t be afraid to hit up bolder shades like Red Carpet Red and Birkin Brown to stand out come sunset.

Inspired by Marc Jacobs’ mother, who made her own couture false lashes out of carefully shaved velvet ribbon, this mascara was created to produce the same effect but with far less effort. The ultra-volumising, lash-maximising mascara delivers plenty of oomph in a single stroke, but three will fool anyone around you into believing you’re wearing falsies. Its curved brush creates dimension while coating every lash evenly too, creating smudge-free definition with plenty of length to spare.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past year, you would’ve read incessant raves about jade-rolling. Instead of the green mineral, this version comes crafted in rose quartz, a heart chakra-focused roller that supposedly aids sensitive skin while easing rosacea symptoms. Use over a serum or face masque to improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, so you look less puffy and more glowy.
