It’s easy to get swept in the tidal wave that are the newcomers of the beauty season. There’s so much noise around which products are better, what deserves the hype and what doesn’t, that it’s hard to make a good call.

This is where we step in to offer our streamlined list of five beauty products that we can’t get enough of this fall. From makeup to skincare and fragrance, these are what you need to line your shopping basket with right now.

Hera Rougue Holic Cream and Matte

Hera’s Rouge Holic lipsticks are one of its most iconic products because it touts long wear, high pigmentation, and a shade range that goes beyond the typical reds and pinks that Korean beauty brands usually have.

The brand continues to push the brackets with its Rouge Holic line, introducing 34 more shades to the mix in both cream and matte finishes. There is a hue to satisfy your look every single day, and beyond that, the finish is so comfortable, you’d barely notice you have any lipstick on. Even the Rouge Holic Matte, which people may expect to be drying, really goes on like velvet thanks to the presence of black cumin butter in the formula. If we had to pick our favourite lipstick this season, it’d be Rouge Holic.

S$45. Available at Hera’s counter in Takashimaya.

Laneige Perfect Cleansing Makeup Remover

Micellar water is one of the most effective yet gentle ways to remove your makeup, and Laneige has banked on that by introducing their Triple Micellar Technology into their new Perfect Cleansing makeup remover. The gentle water doesn’t just remove your makeup thoroughly — it also lightly exfoliates your skin with its mildly acidic pH to unclog stubborn pores and keep your complexion smooth. It’s also fortified with mint extract, with a cooling effect for a fantastic perk-me-up in the mornings.

S$32. Available at Laneige.

Shiseido Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush

Shiseido has recently overhauled its entire makeup line, and with that comes an approach to beauty centred on textures. They’ve taken the bracket far with its new powder blush, which comes in a tub with a formula that feels more like a soft mousse than what its name may suggest. It applies on the skin creamy, and can be blended out to form a stain that looks like your face has naturally flushed. The best part? It lasts for more than six hours, so you won’t have to sweat the touch-ups.

S$48. Available at all major departmental and Shiseido stores.

Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Flowers of Happiness

Floral scents and fall don’t go hand-in-hand, but we’re pushing the norm a little here with the new Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle perfume. There are sandalwood, musk and pear that’s reminiscent of the fall within, but lifted by the nuanced touches of jasmine and rose. The elegant balance between floral and seductive accords makes this a scent for anyone who doesn’t like to switch to musky perfumes for fall.

S$82 for 30ml, S$144 for 75ml. Available at Shilla Duty Free.

Hourglass Caution Extreme Mascara

People turn to mascaras for different reasons, but a bulk of why we need the staple is because it imparts volume to sparse lashes. Not all do what they promise, but Hourglass certainly does that with its new Caution Extreme Lash Mascara. Its thick brush with dense bristles is able to coat your lashes with the dramatically black formula in one single stroke, lengthening and bringing the drama in an instant. It’s a fantastic mascara to have in your arsenal.

S$46. Available at Sephora.
