Simply named Hermès Beauty, this is new métier goes beyond the luxury French house’s perfume offerings. This is a deep dive into cosmetics, with lip products being at the frontier of this launch.
Designed by the creative trio that is Bali Barret, Pierre Hardy and Jérôme Tourron of Hermès Beauty, the brand intends to mirror the philosophy inherent in Hermès’ existing image. Clean, elegant colour choices and lines are rendered into noble materials that clad Hermès Beauty’s pioneering lipstick collection, Rouge Hermès, which has 24 shades total, priced at S$103 each.
Rouge Hermès is available in two distinct finishes: matte and satin. All the formulas, however, share the same long-lasting wear, colour-payoff and hydration, given the use of white mulberry extract. The shades are inspired by the brand’s colour bank of the 75,000 shades found in Hermès’ silk archives housed in Lyon, though the eventual 24 has a colour for every preference and skin tone. Even better — these are refillable.
As expected with Hermès Beauty, the lipsticks also come with accessories, if you will. There is a lip care balm (S$103), a universal lip pencil to use as a liner (S$57), and a lip brush for application (S$120). Completing the range is the Poppy Lip Shine, a neutral gloss enhanced with mother-of-pearl micro-particles for added lustre.
Hermès Beauty will launch on 4 March 2020 at Hermès Singapore boutiques in Liat Towers, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya.
