At Lifestyle Asia, we understand that there is a need for a more diverse representation of Asian beauty. There is a dearth in tutorials and resources for the broad spectrum of Asian skin tones and features. Our collaborative series with local makeup artist Larry Yeo intends to contribute more to the conversation by educating consumers with inclusive beauty tutorials.

Foundation is our first focus. We’ve already covered tips for fair and olive skin, so here’s Yeo with his essential tips on how to work with foundation for Asians with medium skin tones. He explores how one can mix different shades of foundation to add dimension to the skin, as well as how to maintain a dewiness to the complexion for a fresh and natural look.

The model, Tiara, has a warm, medium skin tone with a normal complexion. Watch the above video to see how Yeo maintains the integrity and richness of her skin tone with minimal products. He is also a treasure trove of information, so you’ll definitely learn a thing or two.
