Lululemon is a ubiquitous name in the luxury athletic wear space, but the Canadian label will now branch out into beauty with a personal care collection designed for those who enjoy working up a sweat. Though it may not be the first label to debut an athleisure beauty line — smaller labels like Pretty Athletic, alongside giants like Clinique have already pioneered that movement — Lululemon devotees now have something else to add to their stash.
Dubbed the Selfcare collection, the early capsule line will span a number of cruelty-free products made with clean ingredients. This includes an organic beeswax lip balm, a moisturiser with a sebum-absorbing polymer and cooling agents to refresh your skin after the gym, and a residue-free dry shampoo made with tapioca starch. The brand will also debut an aluminium-free deodorant fortified with witch hazel for freshness as a part of its move into body care.
Selfcare is also a way for Lululemon to make its presence known as a lifestyle brand, emphasising its identity as one that champions a health-centric way of living.
“Sweat once a day to regenerate your skin and mind. It’s something we’ve believed in for over 20 years and continues to be one of our guiding principles as we empower others to do the same. Over the years, we’ve heard from athletes, ambassadors, and our community that the transition from sweat into daily life requires some specific solutions,” explains the brand in the Selfcare launch post on its blog.
All the products will debut in late spring on the website, though no date has been confirmed just yet.
