We’ve launched a survival guide to staying home during COVID-19

We’d all be kidding ourselves thinking that things are normal.

One virus with no cure has left most of us with nowhere to hide. Social contact is tenuous, and social responsibility, as well as social distancing, have become the new global occupation.

These days, a handshake is synonymous with hand sanitiser, STAT. Home is not just where the heart is, but health is too. The outside world is shutting down, and as much as Singapore is trying to cling on to some sense of “this is okay”, it really isn’t. Maybe it’s not going to be okay for a while. And we need to reconcile with that.

This is the dark side of COVID-19. But with dark comes pockets of hope if you know where to knuckle down and hold on tight (yes, that’s a J.K Rowling reference).

Being at home is not all doom and gloom, and we want you to know this. To help, we’ve launched the Lifestyle Asia Feel Good Guide to Staying Home, a microsite dedicated to all things lifestyle-related that you can do homebound.

We’ve got workouts, we’ve got recipes, we’ve got delivery services, we’ve got books to read, we’ve got Netflix binge lists, we’ve got productivity apps — name it, we have it, if you stay home for it.

As much as we’re newsmakers at Lifestyle Asia, we’re real people with real lives that are being affected by this pandemic in tangible ways, just like you. When having a lifestyle is much less about going out and being about, but finding a sense of the new normal while at home as we wait for this tide to cross, we’re making adjustments to make sure your needs are met. We’re right alongside you, riding it out COVID-19, fingers perpetually crossed.

So, here is our Stay Home Survival Guide. Take this as an olive branch of sanity from our team to yours. Stay alone together, and stay safe.
