For those hoping to get a more intimate peek at the newly-reopened (and also fully-booked) Raffles Hotel Singapore will be able to do so soon at The Raffles Reopening Festival. On 18th October 2019, guests will be taken through a special curation of programmes and activities held at various spots around the hotel.

The iconic hotel recently completed a lengthy two-year restoration, stacked with new suites, dining options and a refreshed retail line-up at the Raffles Arcade while preserving its colonial-era aesthetic with contemporary furnishings.

This upcoming festival is set to be the hotel’s grand re-opening, showcasing all of its latest additions for the first time. It’s designed to be like a block party, with guests being led through freshly-renovated spots around the hotel while enjoying a taste of what to expect at the new restaurants.

The programme starts off at the Grand Lobby, where guests are offered tasting portions of signature dishes from the Tiffin Room (now re-focusing on North Indian cuisine), La Dame de Pic, BBR by Alain Ducasse, Burger & Lobster and the Raffles Courtyard.

Complimentary glasses of Champagne Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve and Kristal caviar, along with bespoke cocktails from the Long Bar and Writer’s Bar, are icing on the cake.

While wining and dining, guests are also treated to a line-up of performances by local artistes throughout the night.

Singer Kit Chan and a world-class quartet made up of names like Jeremy Monteiro and Rani Singam, will be serenading the crowd with jazz hits and local numbers. This is followed by performances by indie-pop bands The Sam Willows and singer-songwriter Inch Chua. Comedian Hossan Leong will also be performing stand-up pieces at the Grand Lobby as well.

Perhaps the highlight of the event is the exclusive sneak peek of the new suites at the Main Building of the hotel. Those who haven’t managed to score a night at the hotel yet can get a preview of these rooms. Each sumptuous suite is accompanied by unique experiences, including a special exhibition of art pieces and antiques from the hotel and storytelling sessions by The Storytelling Centre.

Ticketed entry to The Raffles Reopening Festival is at $300 per person, and the hotel is making sure that all of it is going to a good cause as well. 100 percent of proceeds will be donated to non-profit organisation Community Chest Singapore after the event.

The Raffles Reopening Festival will be held 18 October 2019, 7pm – 11pm. Tickets can be purchased online or from the dedicated booth located at the Hotel’s Seah Street entrance till 10 October. Interested parties can also purchase tickets at the festival as well.
