The weekend ahead looks set to be an arts and culture-centric one, what with the ongoing Noise x Gif Fest and tomorrow’s launch of Painting with Light: International Festival of Films on Art at the National Gallery. The former is, as its name suggests, a festival dedicated to gif artworks. Held at Gillman Barracks till 11 October, the inaugural event features art displays, workshops and live music performances.

If you’re more keen on getting your art education from the silver screen, check out Painting with Light, which presents a lineup of over 30 films and documentaries about topics such as film censorship in Indonesia, life in North Korea, and performance artist Marina Abramović’s work.

We also suggest spending this weekend checking out some of the city’s newest restaurants, experimenting with adding argan oil into your skincare routine, and pampering yourself with some new pieces from the Uniqlo U by Christophe Lemaire collection — which was released today. Read on for more ideas in this week’s The Cheat Sheet.
