If you’re a fan of Netflix’s hit television show Stranger Things, the wait is almost over. Season 2 of the series is set to launch on October 27, and its trailer was finally unveiled last weekend at the recent San Diego Comic-Con, where some of its cast and creators were present to speak at a panel. Needless to say, we’re really hyped about the show’s return.
Closer to home, another highlight we’re eagerly looking forward to, is Le Clicquot Weekend, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday at The Fullerton Hotel and The Fullerton Bay Hotel. It features a lineup of activities such as a movie screening of Amélie, a silent disco, and a decadent Sunday pool brunch replete with sumptuous food and (of course) plenty of champagne. We simply can’t wait for the party to start.
But if all you’re seeking this weekend is to stay home and hide away from the torturous heat, we’ve rounded up some of the past week’s best stories in this edition of The Cheat Sheet. Check out our review of the nature-themed Wildseed Bar, read up on the history behind Supreme’s enduring popularity, and find out what went down at our recent interview with Peruvian chef Daniel Chavez, who will be working with several other chefs on a 14 hands brunch (this is not a typo) this Sunday.
