Everything you need to know about The Lo & Behold Group’s first festival

Come 29 May, The Lo & Behold Group will launch an inaugural month-long festival featuring gourmet events, workshops and parties. The homegrown food & beverage company operates eateries such as Odette, The White Rabbit, Po and Tanjong Beach Club, as well as The Warehouse Hotel in Robertson Quay.

The festival is slated to end on 25 June, and showcases seven main highlights, which will be held across the group’s stable of restaurants during the weekends. Kicking off the extravaganza is a “food fight” at Extra Virgin Pizza at Asia Square on June 2, where chefs Ming Tan (the F&B director of Grain) and Bjorn Shen (of Artichoke) will have a pizza making competition. Visitors get to vote for their favourite — and eat the final “masterpieces”.

If you’re more inclined towards tipple, head over to garden bar The Rabbit Hole on 8 June for its “Drink Your Greens” gin workshop, where you can learn all about the spirit and pick up tips on mixing your own cocktails. You’ll even receive a homemade gin and tonic cocktail kit as a keepsake, so you can hone your skills at home. The workshop can only host 20 participants, and focuses on Gin Mare, a type of Spanish gin.

Over at Tanjong Beach Club on 10 June, guests get to feast like kings at a “Bottomless Brunch” with a lavish spread spanning fresh oysters, seafood, and meats from a live carving station. We recommend going all out, and adding the drink-pairing option for a free flow of booze.

The festival closes on a high with The Riverdale Special, a costume party inspired by the television series Riverdale. Show up as Archie, Jughead or any of the programme’s characters, or simply put on your kitschiest outfits and school uniforms, and get ready for a night to remember. You might even win a prize for being the best dressed at the party. The quirky soirée takes place at Overeasy Orchard, and also showcases rousing DJ performances and a photo booth for “class photos”.
