It’s said that rock ’n’ rollers are the original urban tribe, so what better way to bring together the members of The Great Room than with an edgy Rock Out party. The swanky Gatsby-esque co-working space transformed into a stage for rockstar-wannabes to mingle and show off their hidden talents.
In the spirit of forging a close-knit community within The Great Room, the delectable spread provided was a collective effort between the companies that’ve made the space their office. There was a palpable excitement in the air as the Battle of the Bands competition got off to a rambunctious start. Teams of four belted out their greatest hits while strumming and drumming their hearts out. There were a few unforgettable performances, but we’ll leave that to the video above.
An in-house bar by The Glenfiddich kept the members happy with good whisky and special cocktails, and a suitably themed retro-chic photo booth (complete with a Triumph motorcycle might we add) immortalised the entertaining afternoon of coloured mullet wigs, leather fingerless gloves and rock-ready electric guitars.
The Great Room is no stranger to stellar events, and with its latest co-working space opening at Centennial Towers later this month, we’re only looking forward to another extraordinary one.
