Waterloo, one of Sydney’s up-and-coming suburbs, has been going through a transformation over the past few years, with warehouses and art spaces being given a new lease of life — alongside new properties that are being built. The area is in the midst of a transportation hub offering easy car, rail and bus access to Sydney CBD and beyond, making it one of the most sought-after suburbs in the city.
One of the latest developments set to revolutionise the neighbourhood is by Crown Group, Australia’s leading property group. The new residential development, called Waterfall by Crown Group, is conveniently located in Sydney’s Green Square, and is set to infuse nature into urban living.
Designed by award-winning architects SJB, the 331-apartment residence on 18 O’dea Avenue Waterloo comprises three seven-storey buildings and a 20-storey cultural tower overlooking lush, tropical landscaping and beautiful water gardens.
The property also features a specially commissioned seven-storey waterfall — Australia’s tallest — cascading down one of the development’s four elemental buildings. It will be complemented by a unique large-scale artwork by Mika Utzon Popov, grandson of Jorn Utzon, the architect behind the Sydney Opera House.
“This development is something entirely unique, and inspired by the power of nature,” Crown Group Chairman and CEO Iwan Sunito said at the launch, “With this design, we are breaking tradition. The green spaces and natural elements bring this to a whole new level and create a luxurious, balanced environment for residents to relax and recharge.”
Prospective residents will have a range of elegant living spaces to choose from, including one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as courtyard apartments and double-storey upper penthouses. The interiors utilise stone, timber and subtle hues, featuring fresh and natural modern luxury.
Natural luxury is also apparent through the communal spaces, with each facility complementing the development’s ethos of creating natural living spaces — including tranquil, ground-level water gardens, a recreation deck, an infinity rooftop pool with a sky garden and terrace, and a secluded bamboo-covered walkway.
Other amenities include a state-of-the-art floating cantilevered gym, function room with a catering kitchen, music room and onsite retail outlets.
Crown Group, renowned for creating projects with exceptional landscaping and greenery, recently received the Australian Best Outdoor Project award by HIA-CSR Australia for its popular 653-apartment development Top Ryde City Living in Ryde.
Construction has already begun and is slated to be completed by 2020. Residences are available from S$676,130 onwards, and interested buyers can submit an expression of interest here.
