A directory of bars doing cocktail deliveries and takeaways in Singapore

Welcome to a Singapore where bars are shuttered.

Call it a circuit breaker, call it a quasi-lockdown, call it proto-Prohibition, whatever it is, the new normal in Singapore will not have its institutional watering holes standing as a beacon to make our Friday nights all the better. The mandated temporary closure of local bars will run until 4 May 2020, but this does not mean happy hours are falling into fiction as many bars have made their pre-batched cocktails available to order.

Cocktail deliveries in Singapore, as well as takeouts, are on the rise as bars hunker into survival mode to wade through this unfortunate period. This is your opportunity to lend support to an industry that has long been a source of national pride, and also to give your evenings that notch of class as you lounge around in sweatpants celebrating another work-from-home day done and dusted.

We’re all about seeking small silver linings these days, and nursing a proper martini or Negroni from a leading cocktail bar in our city ranks right up there as a shiny bright mood. Let us take you through a directory of cocktail deliveries and takeaways in Singapore, and don’t forget, every cocktail you get contributes to saving a livelihood. If you’d also like to help businesses and restaurants, click here.

If what you like is not featured on the list, a local project known as Wheels on the Bars has gone live as a one-stop order and delivery platform for Singapore’s cocktail bars, where 100 percent of the profits from every order made goes directly back to the bars themselves. Check them out here.

It’s a hot weekend afternoon, you’re sticky, it’s humid, and instead of being at the beach, you’re stuck on the couch bingeing on Netflix. The easiest way to remedy this situation is with a frozen cocktail, we guarantee. L.A.B Inc has released a series of blender-style drink pouches in flavours that define thirst-quenching — a lychee martini, a lemongrass cooler and a passionfruit tea martini. All are made with fresh ingredients (read: no cloying artificial fruit flavours) and delivered to your doorstep.

A single pouch retails for S$38 and comes with soda water as well if you’d like to make the drink longer — and last longer, too. The pouches also purport to hold 500ml, so it’s a rather generous serve.
