Singapore’s hawker culture makes a glorious return to the spotlight once again, soon after being added to the Unesco Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

If you’re tired of dining at familiar spots, don’t fret. The Michelin Guide has partnered with the Singapore Tourism Board to kick off the first-ever Michelin Guide Kitchen Takeover, a series of four four-hands collaborations between Michelin Plate, Bib Gourmand restaurants and street food establishments taking place across the months of January to March 2021.

Each of the three-course menus is fit for two, priced at S$88, and will be exclusively available on GrabFood with island-wide delivery fee capped at S$10.

The first collaborative menu will take place from 18-24 January, between Michelin Plate 2019 restaurants Thevar and Keng Eng Kee. In this joint partnership, guests can feast on dishes like the Coffee and caramelised tamarind pork belly, an aromatic, tangy twist on the signature coffee pork ribs.

Other highlights include the Pepper fry claypot chicken rice, a unique combination of Chinese sausages and marinated chicken that’s made with specially selected spices from Chef Mano and beautifully fragrant biriyani rice.

The entire Michelin Guide Kitchen Takeover will run from now to March, and will include collaborations between Yen Yakiniku and Chef Kang’s Noodle House (22 to 28 January), Cure and Man Man (17 to 23 February), as well as Akira Back and Song Fa Bak Kut Teh (24 February to 2 March).

There will be a limited number of sets per menu. The dishes for the first collaboration between Thevar and Keng Eng Kee can be pre-ordered from 18 to 21 January, for delivery on 24 January (11am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm). For more information, head to the website here.
