Whether it’s a warm bowl of macaroni and cheese, pasta smothered in luscious cheese, or buttery cheese tarts (which were particularly trendy earlier this year), cheese has always been the perfect comfort food. Gooey, salty and oh-so-delicious, it’s a versatile ingredient that goes with pretty much anything — be it meats, sandwiches or even ramen.
But for hardcore cheese lovers, there’s nothing quite like savouring the milky delicacy on its own, to taste its natural goodness. To cater to these foodies, a number of gourmet stores have sprouted up in Singapore with a variety of imported artisanal cheeses. Serving up a hodgepodge of products ranging from mild cheeses to bold-flavoured goat’s milk options, these 5 establishments have got you covered for your next house party.

Founded earlier this year, this new online gourmet store made its debut at the Epicurean Market at Marina Bay Sands in August. It imports its cheeses from artisanal producers on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. Highlights include its signature XO Pag Cheese, a yellow cheese made from the milk of sheep that graze on pastures filled with wild sage. Imported from Paška Sirana cheese factory on Pag island, the latter is aged for 18 months, before being turned and oiled by hand to achieve a creamy texture and intense flavour.
